This website uses as little client-side storage as it can get away with. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
What we use
At the time of writing, this site sets the following:
- ukay_session — a strictly necessary cookie. It is only ever set when the site owner signs in to the private administration area. It is httpOnly, signed, and expires after 12 hours. Visitors never receive it.
- ukay:seen — not a cookie. This is a sessionStorage entry used so the short opening animation plays once rather than on every page you visit. It is cleared when you close the tab and it is never sent to our server.
What we do not use
We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics product. We do not use advertising or remarketing tags. We do not embed social media widgets, and we do not load fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers — everything is served from this domain.
Because of that, no consent banner is required for the current configuration. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
If that changes
If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will add a consent mechanism that asks you first and does not load those scripts until you agree, and we will update this page before doing so.
Managing cookies yourself
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because this site only uses a strictly necessary cookie for the private admin area, blocking cookies will not affect your use of the public pages in any way.
